Frills&Scarfs

On one of my I'am trying to discover Pune trips ,came across a really pretty flow-y lace jacket if it didn't cost more than my monthly grocery bill i would bought it in an instant . This made me wanna run back to Bangalore to my tailor .With a little bullying he would have made it for me in 2 days . Sigh !! so much for the love of making things , i don't know a) fabric market  b)a decent Tailor here in Pune.

In some other news i finally found a place which makes the yummiest filter coffee ,apart from the annoying waiter who keeps asking me hows everything in Madras(These things are clichéd for a reason) i quite like going to that place coz it's neighbour  happens to be  a small super interesting book store as an icing they also have imported magazines  all second hand  how romantic .Apart from the heat i must say Pune is quite a cozy little place to be .

Dhothi & Suspenders

A dated picture of my Dhothi&Suspenders was for some reason in hiding. Must be at-least a couple of months old.Going through some old pictures reminds me of all the stories i have lived through the blog, every single post that has had me in the middle of the road clicking pictures has a story behind it. Taking pictures with mum or 2 of my closest friends is something I'm going to terribly miss while in Pune .

During this particular shoot i was so sure i would be eaten up by the mud beneath, it was monstrous then got followed by some creeps on the bike and when we decided to run away our vehicle got stuck in the all the slush. So that was that for the day.

Parks in Dhothi's

This is the very famous and iconic Cubbon park which Ruhi and I promptly decided to visit on a holiday. I was looking forward to taking the train rides which i soo loved doing as kid , was visiting this place after 14 years. We mostly sat outside did some funny things which seemed like it was too loud even for park standards .After about an hour of random loitering around we headed out to this pretty European vibe cafe .

See By Chloe

(Click On pics for enlarged view)

The weather here can't seem to make up it's mind. There's sudden heavy showers, then for hours it's nice and shinny ,just when i decide to take some pictures there's heavy grey overtone all of a sudden .Though i love this weather i really wish they would be a little picture friendly.
In Other news ,I met 5 readers of Vintage Obsession and a fellow Blogger in separate instances of course over the last 3 weeks was so much fun .Will try and post pictures soon.

Found these shorts at Arrow a while ago , couldn't have been more glad since they are so similar to See by Chloe collection.

Menjurian Tote-Bags

Today was such a difficult day , had to make some absolute tough calls i tell you . Was at cafe when i saw this girl carrying an absolutely brilliant Audrey Hepburn sling bag . I so wanted to stalk her and ask her the eternal question "Where From" then of-course bully her and take a picture , however what to do when your just getting to know this future stalk-able person if i get up to stalk another person i wouldn't know where to stalk this new eye candy i just found . This very difficult tug-of-war between 2 sides of the heart .For the likes of me ,who finds it difficult to choose between 2 donut's or 3. Now i keep telling myself normalcy will return ,just find the bag . For times like these i wish there existed  parallel worlds .

Some Picture taking had to happen so what If it's not an Audrey Hepburn bag It's a Menjurian/Idly Vada  Bag from Mother earth

Meet Mahima , a dear friend with a very intimidating job . She's a chemical engineer ,if i have to put it in simple terms Dexter's Laboratory . Who's alter ego is some kind of literary  fanatic (check her blog Here)  cum danseuse(the Indian kind).I'm still kicking myself for missing her poetry recital at some fancy cafe. She has some fancy tote bag collection i tell you . Also some very interesting body art happens to adorn her body

Those of who who often visit Koshy's I'm sure can recognize this gentleman , He magically find's  parking spot for me every-time I've visited the place .

Designer inspiration : Tanvi Kedia

When i stumbled upon designer Tanvi Kedia's collection "South Of The Border West Of The Sun".I was beyond impressed .The collection  has a heavy ethnic influence in terms of colors, designs and cuts. The riot of colors and prints is what got me excited to begin with. However more than the clothes i was completely mesmerized by her shoe collection which is basically hand embroidered sneakers ,with bright colors like green ,orange ,pink  and so on .

Sadly the work of most of the Indian designers are not easily available online ,I couldn't find a decent picture of the shoes. Its really sad that none of the official fashion week pages have them either.

Color oh! So colorful shoes

Don't go near the water

Sankey Tank happens to be one of my favorite spots in the city .A 2 min walk from home, most of my free evenings are spent here on the benches with a  book. Early morning walks here is total bliss. You can spot celebrities , uncomfortable couples trying not to gain attention, joggers, bird watchers, photographers, some like me just out of love for the place. The food hawkers outside sure helps if your here and as aimless as I am.

P.S The bag is a Neil Dantas creation. Of course in the spirit of Mumbai again.
Costs about Rs 500 do write to him for more details at neildantas@gmail.com and check some more bags  HERE
