Pop Up Store

YouTube is my favorite place on the internet . Gives me crazy ideas during insane hours of the night.Found this video of a studio being converted to an pop up store. Since I'm on a new furniture buying mode decided to adorn the walls of my living room with some duct tape.There is a picture of what I've started of with here on my Tumblr  . 

Cleaning Up My Closet

We actually live in one of the hottest regions on planet earth , However hats have always been the most disregard piece of accessory . More than a style statement it's actually a necessity. Anybody sporting anything other than a regular cap is always starred at like an amusing thing on the road . I see thousands of girls on the streets of Pune covering everything above the neck level completely with a scarf or a stole funnily only there eyes is visible squishing there noises and shutting up there mouths ,i'm often wondering why they go through so much torture all one has to do is buy themselves a nice pretty big hat .

I for one have decided there has to be more hats in my cupboard but then I realized for that there needs to be some storing place .  Eventually I'm moving back to Bangalore (Hoping this would happen ASAP) I  refrain myself from buying furniture of any kinds . In an attempt at making some space I'm having a sale of some of  my favorite pieces of clothing over at the FaceBook Page Vintage Obsession. There's going to be new additions every week till my closet has some breathing space and my suitcases can move back to the attic .

Storage Idea's

Before I buy anything whether it fits in my budget or not isn't the concern.How and where to store it always is.The purchase is made depending on the same . Always scouting for some storage ideas . I hate a stuffy looking house so what I do basically is use tidbits of accessories or hang bags here and there ,Adorn walls with tribal belts and convert them into items of home decor . Right now my computer table has a wine glass filled with finger rings and broaches .

Hot Pants

Did some informal clicking with my new trousers (read FabIndia) and my new lens . This was at some insane hour of the night because I was too lazy to sleep . Cannot wait to shower these trousers with some sunlight . For that they will have to wait for the weekend though. 

Tripping on Stripes

Bruno and I had fun photo-walk last Friday . It's so much fun to miss work and do these random things , the thrills it gives . Sadly Bruno is of on a vacation visiting exotic countries for three months and he say's he will back in February.  

Apart from that I'm super excited to be clicking some awesome pictures from my lens over the weekend  , brother dearest gifted me new lens for the camera and  it's so precious right now that it sleeps with me on my bed .

Optical Delusion

The perfect  accessory -- get some prints to splash itself over what your wearing ,in different shapes and sizes every-time There is a confusion with  accessories   . Works always for me . Since there will be so much happening with the prints simple or no accessories will do.

Uncle Karl is showering some love on Bombay

Chanel's Rajasthan inspired show Paris-Bombay is absolutely incredible with rich ensembles and lovely styling with flamboyance thrown all over .Totally heart the jewelry used the belts , broaches et allia . Of course not to forget the gorgeous clothes .This show is a must watch .

Cafe Hoping

Cafe hoping is something I've loved to do ,be it whatever city . It so happens that some cafe's leave such an impression on you that a visit there becomes a ritual . Le Pain Quotidien (Colaba)  happens to be one of them. Located near the Gateway Of India in Bombay ,is one of the coziest cafe's i know and a visit to Bombay will be incomplete for me without grabbing a bite here. High wooden  stools ,yummiest bakes and incredible coffee is what you can expect here . 

P.S for all those who like to people watch there's a wrought iron bench right outside the door where you can sit sipping coffee and watching the world go by.

Tumblr

I discovered Tumblr a year ago every since I have been following many a interesting fellows there. OfLate I'm totally addicted to Tumblr and post so often there it's a little surprising . Thanks to this obsession I have been learning a lot of new things about my camera and take at-least one new picture a day . Temple Towns

The next pit stop on my road trip was Belur followed by Halebeedu more popular known as temple towns both the temples in the these towns have very similar architecture and it's painfully beautiful .On the first look these temples look like they have been built out of  a huge monolithic rock . The dictionary meaning of intricate could have well been defined after a visit to these places . The temple in Belur has a very Vintage Vibe as in modernization hasn't touched it yet however the Halebeedu temple has a pretty lake by the side with a small park along the sides of the temple . You can sit her the whole day with some music and life's good . 

P.S Both these places are surprisingly neat not a spec of dirt ,very impressive . Makes me want to live in another era .

Put Some New Shoes On

I honestly cannot seem to remember when I last bought some shoes . Going through some serious  craving right now . As much as I love living by myself  I hate the fact that my daily needs which were taken care of so well back in Bangalore is eating into my wearing something pretty fund here in Pune.The choices are getting tougher by the day ,how can you decide between say shoes, awesome pair of trousers or paying your rent . Crisis I tell you. 

Calonge

Thanks to a recent trip to the new Phoenix  Market city mall in Bangalore I discovered the brand Calonge . Has some beautiful hand woven leather accessories like shoes , bags and clutches out of all them my favorite are the hand woven brogues they are incredible and beautifully crafted  so intricate.Due to shortage of time I couldn't buy them and now I'm heading back to Pune early morning. Since I had my heart set on them it's going to be quite and effort to get them out of my head . I want !! I want ! 

P.S for all those of you waiting for Zara to coming knocking it's HERE !! yes the Phoenix mall has a ZARA store opening shortly .ZARA has finally arrived in Bangalore . 

Osho-D

My first outdoor shoot in Pune . I don't know why I haven't done this already . These were clicked by Bruno on the Osho ashram road until we were told otherwise . I did have a lot of fun doing this and he really helped me shed some inhibitions .

P.S wearing a linen shirt from Fab India and I must say it's a total must buy looks really smart and can be in 10 different ways at-least .

Genre

Meet Bruno the photographer from Mozambique ,Vintage Obsession will be collaborating with his brand called as GENRE in terms of photography . Bruno has been living in Pune for the last three years and is a huge fashion enthusiast ,loves to sketch and used be a fashion designer back home .What got me really excited was Bruno speaks Spanish and my first thought was I actually have a real Spaniard to practice my Spanish with .These are some of his pictures for more you should check is Tumblr account  .GENRE

P.S up next will be the first shoot we did together , in fact my first shoot in Pune out doors and I've been living here for for 7 months .

Pardon My Hindi

Pardon my Hindi is this really cool cross cultural interpretation of  art , something I stumbled upon and quite loved it .There screen prints must say are my favorites with some really interesting work and not your regular kitsch . Apart from that they also sell apparels with similar printing . You must check out this one.

Vero+Moda

I discovered Vero Moda about 4 - 5 months ago when they sent across some gift vouchers , until then all plans to make a trip to the store had somehow been futile .However  I'm a regular there these days , check there collection every time i pass by a store or see something new and interesting on there facebook page . If you guys haven't discovered Vero Moda yet make a trip quickly :)

Apartmento

 Got a tiny Apartment for myself and the only real pieces of furniture i own is the rocking chair and the mirror.Considering I don't have a TV i'am always where my chair is supposed to face .

Apart from that bought a couple of small stools from a second hand furniture store after sand papering it painted them in electric blue oil paint .Got a big tin coz I didn't know how much I'll need now I'am left with what feels like gallons.So I've been painting anything and everything .

Mango

Meet my newest lovely .The Mango dress I scored  a while ago i have worn this so many times surprisingly I have just one set of pictures.It's one of the softest fabric feels so snugly .

S-Oliver

A couple of weeks ago S-Oliver invited me to visit there store which opened in a brand new mall here in Pune .Since it was a weekday and I couldn't get out of work ,Kanu Priya of S Oliver arranged for me to go to Mumbai and visit the store in Mallad at the in Infinity mall on a Saturday. I must say it turned out to be such a fun Saturday , as soon as I reached the store a brief introduction about the store happened .After which I wandered about the store for about an hour ,If not the for the 6 month shopping ban I'am being subjected to by my most important sponsor  read elder brother , would have bought at-least 2 blazers/Boy Friend jackets a dress and a really pretty blue romper from the store. Pune people the S-Oliver stores are In Jewel Square (KP) and Phoenix Market City . It's totally worth making a trip this weekend. So go check them out . 

P.S Bangaloreans will have to wait bit longer I Guess !!
