The origin of Jodhpur trousers date way back to the 18th century. These trousers were first worn by Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh. This was worn only during a Polo Match.Soon most of the Polo players followed the trend .These were cut in a wing-shape and had leather patches between the knees. These became known as "Jodhpurs".The trousers however is still worn in its original format at the traditional Jodhpury wedding till date. However the contemporary Jodhpur designs have eliminated the patches and kept the basic cut intact.
Had been looking all over the place for authentic Jodhpurs,Either they were way to expensive or not really androgynous .
So i decided if i cannot find it i will make it.
The Jodhpurs is another DIY project of mine.got hold of dads old pants and converted them :)
P.S the post with suspenders as promised .Do let me know what you guys think of this.
